Want to draw another cute version of Tung Tung Tung? In this tutorial, we’ll turn the character into a fun kawaii design with a wooden body, big feet, adorable cheeks, and its signature baseball bat.
This version is simple to follow, even if you’re a beginner. Grab your pencil or drawing tablet, and let’s draw together, Cuties!
Start by drawing a wide, slightly rectangular shape for the main wooden body.
Keep the top and bottom softly curved instead of perfectly straight.
Next, sketch a vertical guideline through the center and a horizontal guideline across the face area. Add two large circles on each side to help position the cheeks later.
These simple guides will make it easier to keep the kawaii face balanced.
Draw one curved arm coming out from each side of the body.
On one side, add a round hand that will hold the baseball bat.
For the other arm, bend it upward and place the hand near the side of the body.
Keep the arms thin and the hands slightly oversized to match the cute cartoon style.
Under the body, draw two short, straight legs.
Then add a large rounded foot at the bottom of each leg.
Give the feet a slightly bumpy shape around the toes rather than making them perfectly smooth. The oversized feet help make Tung Tung Tung Ver. 2 look extra cute.
Now sketch the baseball bat in one hand.
Start near the hand with a narrow handle and extend the bat upward. Gradually make it wider toward the rounded top.
Add a small curved shape at the bottom of the handle for the knob.
Erase or hide the construction guidelines and start refining your drawing.
Draw two large, shiny kawaii eyes with small highlights inside.
Add curved eyebrows, a tiny nose, and a big cheerful open smile.
Turn the guide circles into large rounded cheeks.
Next, add several short, uneven lines across the body, legs, and baseball bat to create a simple wood-grain texture.
Refine the fingers around the bat and the other hand.
Time for color!
Use a warm medium brown for the wooden body, arms, legs, and feet. Use a slightly lighter brown for the baseball bat to separate it visually from the character.
Add soft pink to the cheeks and inside the smiling mouth.
Keep the eyes dark with bright white highlights for that classic kawaii look.
And you’re done—your Kawaii Tung Tung Tung Ver. 2 is complete!
