Ready to draw one of the funniest Italian Brainrot characters? In this tutorial, we’ll learn how to draw Shimpanzini Bananini step by step, the quirky chimpanzee hiding inside a peeled banana.
This drawing may look detailed at first, but we’ll make it easy by starting with simple curved shapes. You can follow along with pencil and paper or draw digitally on an iPad or tablet. Keep your first sketch lines light so they’re easy to erase when you create the final outline.

Start by lightly sketching the basic shape of an opened banana peel.
Use long, soft curved lines to build the main peel at the bottom. Then sketch the three sections of the banana peel spreading outward from the center.
Don’t worry about making the shapes perfect yet. We’ll refine them in the next steps.
Now add the character inside the banana.
Draw a large circle for Shimpanzini Bananini’s head in the center of the opened peel. Add two rounded ears on either side.
Inside the head, draw one vertical and one curved horizontal guideline. These will help you position the facial features later.
Also add a large rounded muzzle shape across the lower half of the face.
Next, use your first sketch as a guide to give the banana peel its final shape.
Draw the three large peel sections spreading around the monkey, using smooth rounded curves. Refine the long lower section of the banana and add a small rounded tip at the end.
Keep the peel shapes thick and slightly exaggerated to match the character’s cute cartoon style.
Now it’s time to give Shimpanzini Bananini his expression.
Using the guidelines, draw two large round eyes with bright highlights. Add strong curved eyebrows above them to create his serious, focused expression.
Draw the small nostrils and curved mouth inside the muzzle. Then refine the ears and add the little tuft of hair at the top of his head.
Finish this step by adding a few small texture marks across the banana peel.
Once you’re happy with your sketch, trace the drawing using smooth, clean lines.
Carefully outline the monkey’s face, ears, eyes, eyebrows, mouth, head, and the entire banana peel.
Add the small banana spots and a few subtle fold lines to give the peel more detail.
When the outline is finished, erase your construction lines and any extra sketch marks. Your Shimpanzini Bananini line art is complete!
Time to bring your drawing to life with color!
Color the outer banana peel bright yellow, while keeping the inside of the opened peel a soft cream color. Add small warm brown-orange spots for extra texture.
Use fresh green for the monkey suit around the head and body. Color the face and ears with a soft peach-pink skin tone, then add pink blush to the cheeks.
Keep the eyes dark with bright white highlights to make them stand out.
